CMH Car Hire (Pty) Ltd t/a First Car Rental initially
traded as National Alamo Car Rental from 1999. In April
2008 we established our South African
brand - First Car Rental.

2004
- Launched IT advanced world-class booking
system where a customer can book a car in less than 1-minute
in a quick, 3-step process. The first step towards reducing
our carbon footprint 7 years ago by introducing electronic
vouchers - less paper and less fuel in delivering vouchers
to clients. |

2007 -
Implemented the online invoice retrieval portal and Cristil,
our online customer services software. Surpassing world
standards, First Car Rental’s customer service department
boasts a successful resolution timeframe of 1.86 days
as an average, which includes damage and 3rd party cases.
The Customer Services division is also a paperless environment,
including online invoice retrieval. |

- Online access to all rental documentation within
24 hours after rental termination. |

2010
- Webcam “customer recognition software”
technology installed at all branches nationwide –
no more repeat paperwork for customers. |

2011 - The
first-in-industry corporate mobile checkout facility.
This means our corporate clients go straight from the
plane to their cars bypassing the branch, and checkout
using our handheld mobile devices in less than 1 minute.

The majority of our cars are 9 months or younger and each
of our cars, after every rental, goes through a 40-point
check, including a valet if deemed necessary.
